Today's stone-look and woodgrain laminates have crisp square edges in the same pattern as the top, and patterns that run the full sheet. Styled well, they look far better than their price suggests, and they turn a working room into a finished one.
Laundry, mudroom, pantry, craft room, garage bench: the rooms that carry the household deserve a finished top, not bare plywood. Laminate gives you a warm woodgrain or stone look and a wipe-clean top that shrugs off detergent, boots and wet coats, usually installed in a single visit.

Direct heat and deep scratches are its weak points, so use trivets and cutting boards. Seams show if you look closely, and a sink mounted under the counter needs a special edge, so ask us.
