Fabuwood is a cabinet company based in Newark, New Jersey. Its cabinets come in five lines, in stock sizes, and arrive about 4–6 weeks after we order them. This page explains the lines in plain words, so you can pick one and then choose a door.
Want the doors, not the reading? The Fabuwood styles we show are all in the door browser.
Browse Fabuwood doors →AllureIllumeOvelaQuestValue PremiumFrom the day we order to delivery. From the start of design, a whole kitchen takes about 6–9 weeks, plus the time you take to approve the quote.
Allure, Illume and Ovela have Blum soft-close hinges and full-extension, soft-close drawer slides.
Fabuwood's limited lifetime warranty covers the original residential owner of Allure, Illume, Ovela, Quest and Value Premium cabinets. It doesn't pass to a new owner. See our warranty summary.
The door is what you see. The line decides how the box behind it is built: with a wood frame on the front (framed) or without one (frameless), and from plywood or engineered furniture board. Pick the line first; the door browser can then show you only that line's doors.

A framed line for classic and transitional kitchens. A solid wood face frame sits on a plywood box, and the doors cover nearly all of that frame (full overlay). On our site Allure has the most Fabuwood door styles (6 of 11) and the most painted and stained colors, and it offers any Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams paint color, made to order.

Fabuwood's European-style frameless line, for sleek, modern kitchens. There is no face frame, so the doors cover the box edge to edge. The box is engineered furniture board, white with a linen texture inside, and the drawers are Blum metal drawer boxes. Illume's two doors, Catalina and Tuscany, have a factory-applied gloss, matte or textured surface instead of paint or stain.

Fabuwood's American-style frameless line. It has the same flat, edge-to-edge look and the same two doors as Illume, but the box is plywood with a natural wood inside, and the drawers are solid wood. Fabuwood suggests it for modern kitchens that should still feel warm.

A framed plywood line with a traditional look. The doors cover only part of the face frame (partial overlay), so more of the frame shows around each door. Quest has a short menu: on our site, the Metro and Discovery shaker doors in a few set colors.
We install Rev-A-Shelf pull-outs and organizers in Fabuwood cabinets, just as in Canyon Creek. Some come in versions made for framed or for frameless cabinets. Browse cabinet organizers
Allure, Quest and Value Premium are framed: a frame runs across the front of the box, and the doors sit on it. Illume and Ovela are frameless: there is no front frame, so the doors cover the box almost edge to edge.
On a framed cabinet, how much of the frame shows depends on the line. Allure's doors cover the most of it (full overlay), Value Premium's a little less (modified full overlay), and Quest's the least (partial overlay). In everyday terms, framed gives a classic, furniture-like front; frameless gives a clean, modern front and a little more room in each opening.
Simplified drawings, not to scale. The framed drawing shows more frame around the doors, as on Quest; Allure's doors cover more of the frame.
Allure, Ovela, Quest and Value Premium boxes are plywood: thin layers of wood glued together into a strong panel. Illume's box is engineered furniture board, a dense, flat panel made from wood particles bonded together, finished inside in a white linen texture. Shelves are ¾ inch thick on Allure, Illume and Ovela.
Fabuwood finishes every door at the factory, in one of three ways:

Each door's color window groups colors the way Fabuwood does. Signature colors are its most popular; Signature Select and Designer colors are made to order. Ask us about timing for a made-to-order color.
For a classic or transitional kitchen, or the most door styles and painted or stained colors, start with Allure. For a sleek, modern kitchen, look at Illume or Ovela: Ovela if you want a plywood box with a natural wood inside, Illume for a white inside and metal drawers. Quest and Value Premium are framed lines with a short menu of doors and colors. Bring us photos of kitchens you like and we'll narrow it down together.
Four of the five lines are. Allure, Ovela, Quest and Value Premium have plywood boxes. Illume uses engineered furniture board, finished inside in a white linen texture.
About 4–6 weeks from the day we order them. From the start of design, a whole kitchen usually takes about 6–9 weeks, plus the time you take to approve the quote. You're without a working kitchen for about a week during installation, countertops included.
On Allure doors, yes: Fabuwood offers any Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams color, made to order. The other lines come in their own set colors.
Fabuwood's limited lifetime warranty covers the original residential owner of Allure, Illume, Ovela, Quest and Value Premium cabinets. It doesn't pass to a new owner. We also warrant our installation for one year. See the warranty summary.
Fabuwood builds in stock sizes and arrives in about 4–6 weeks. Canyon Creek builds to the dimensions of your room, with more wood species and door builds to choose from, and takes about 6–8 weeks. Canyon Creek, line by line.
